Rostec is to start production of smart refrigerators from 2020

SC "Rostec" plans to begin mass production of "smart" consumer electronics with the use of IoT from 2020 onwards. This is stated in the company's message, received by RBC.

It is noted that the first device, the prototype of which was created by specialists of the "Pozis" company (part of the "Tecmash" Concern), will be a refrigerator that can independently monitor the availability of products, their expiration dates and make orders in online stores. The model will be tested in the upcoming months.

As the head of SC Rostec , Sergey Chemezov, said, the company is implementing a large-scale investment project worth 2 billion rubles to mass-produce such devices and other digital models.

"Technologies are now being introduced in the development of our plant "Pozis", where a line of Russian refrigerating machines of the new generation is being created - modern, high-quality and relatively inexpensive. Due to new products, the plant plans to release a record volume of supplies - about 600 thousand devices a year from 2021"-said Chemezov

It is reported that at present seven automatic lines for the manufacture of the refrigerators components are put into operation at the plant, due to which the manual labor at the enterprise is minimized, and the productivity has doubled.

At the end of June, the Pozis plant in Zelenodolsk began serial production of special refrigerators for fur products. SC "Rostec" announced that the development is "a full-fledged analogue of a professional fur room with smaller dimensions and better ergonomics." The refrigerator, which was called the MX-500 POZIS, can maintain 50-70% humidity. It is also equipped with a microprocessor control unit with indication and temperature adjustment from minus 10 degrees to plus 8 degrees.
