The partners are pursuing the objective of developing and implementing photonics solutions on a worldwide basis. The agreements achieved by the parties are stipulated in the memorandum of establishing a consortium “ International Photonics Center ‘Polyus’”, signed by Shvabe Holding and the Chinese delegation in August.

The memorandum was signed by Evgeny Kuznetsov, Director General of “POLYUS” Research Institute of M.F. Stelmakh, a company of Shvabe Holding, and Zhu Xiao, the President of Hubei Province Laser Association. According to the memorandum, there will be cooperation in three main directions - quantum cascade lasers, disc lasers, gyroscopes and gyrocompasses.

The executives and coordinating bodies were assigned in the course of the bilateral meeting. At the Russian end it is “Photonics Academy”, and at China’s – National Engineering Research Center for Laser Processing.

“Beyond any doubt, such cooperation with Chinese partners in the field of photonics is a major advance in development of our company and photonics as a direction. In the course of preliminary stage, we have determined the directions and prospects for cooperation. I believe, we will achieve tangible results through joint efforts,” said Evgeny Kuznetsov, Director General of “Polyus” Research Institute of M.F. Stelmakh.

As part of the event, the specialists of “Polyus” Research Institute held a conference and informed the Chinese delegation of the main areas of activity of the enterprise.
