Description

Hand-held terminal HT-MTSST4R is designed for use in stationary and mobile information management and processing systems as automated operator position in harsh environments. The design provides a continuous operation of the device from the internal battery for at least 1 hour in a wide range of ambient temperatures (minus 10 to plus 55 degrees Celsius), high humidity (including after two hours submersion to a depth of 1 m), with periodic and single shock loads (including the fall from a height of 0.75 m). During powering by the primary power in the same conditions, work can be round-the-clock.
The basis of HT-MTSST4R computing unit is microprocessor based MCST-R1000 with SPARC V9 architecture. Microprocessor R1000 MCST has computing power, sufficient for comfortable work in the operator GUI, use office applications, e-mail, Internet browser, as well as communication with external devices. R1000 microprocessor advantage is its high efficiency on compute-intensive tasks, enabling parallelization of tasks on four cores. Therefore, the scope of the HT-MTSST4R include database management system, graphics applications, file servers, and others.
The base operating system for NT-MTSST4R is OS "Elbrus". It is based on the Linux kernel and supports a variety of applications with open source software, including AbiWord processor, spreadsheet GNumeric, Firefox browser, email client. There are tools for the development of application software for self testing equipment.
