Description

Ward communication and alarm system consists of a certain number of call buttons (connected by flat cables) and ward alarm control console. The console transmits signal to the employee on duty and ensures internal communication within the section itself. Usually, ward alarm buttons are installed at bed-head. For lying patients, buttons with extenders are installed. Besides, a ward alarm system can operate on a separate radio channel and be equipped with wearable buttons in the form of radio pendants.

Ward communication and alarm systems have the following principal functions:

Possibility for patients to call in medical personnel on duty at any time of the day;
Possibility for conversations between patients and personnel on duty;
Possibility for on-duty nurses to call senior medical personnel from wards;
Indication of personnel presence in wards;
Organization of quick internal phone communication for all section personnel;
Possibility for section personnel to access local phone line and public phone line;
Possibility to control visitors' access to section premises from the desk of on-duty nurse.
