The Central Research Institute of Materials is an advanced enterprise in the field of developing new materials and technologies. The Institute pays special attention to the development of technologies related to research, creation and use of nanomaterials: in electronics, informatics, power engineering, engineering, biology, medicine and ecology. Qualitatively new operational and consumer properties of products created on the basis of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies allow to achieve an increase in accident-free service life of parts and devices, reduce costs for replacement of out-of-date equipment and reduce equipment downtime, expand the scope of their use. A special effect should be expected when creating new types of special equipment. At present, there are 7 doctors of technical sciences, 40 candidates of technical sciences, 236 specialists with higher education working in JSC "CNIIM".
