JSC “Electrotechnical factories “Energomera” is the largest manufacture of electricity meters in the domestic market

As a separate entity JSC “Electrotechnical factories “Energomera” was founded in 2010. But the history of the company dates back much earlier. Electrotechnical instrumentation is the oldest of the business projects of diversified industrial holding JSC “Concern Energomera”, founded by Vladimir I. Polyakov on the basis of design bureau “Elektrokont”.

The company was engaged in the Russian market promotion of innovation product for its time - static electricity meters. The new devices provide unprecedented functionality compared to traditional induction meters. And the scheme of promoting goods, allowing for refusal of money and for payment of the delivered products by the electricity, provides the company with orders even though the crisis of non-payments in the country.

Electricity was being exchanged for components and materials for manufacture, with this help it was possible to establish a system of tax credits. For the complex barter chains functioning there were created a lot of relevant departments in the company: department of food, building materials, automobile tires and spare parts and even of pharmaceutical products! “Energomera” even printed its own money, or rather money certificates, and opened grocery stores for employees. This scheme seemed to be oddball became extremely effective! The company's assets increased annually.

Thus streamlined commodity-money flow was at that time almost the only way to preserve jobs in enterprises, to help them survive in the post-Soviet period. Having received support of design bureau “Elektrokont” and Measurement Equipment Factory “Kvant” (today it is Measurement Equipment Factory “Energomera”), Concern “Energomera” became at first an investor and then the majority shareholder of these companies.

By the time the energy companies were legally forbidden to pay suppliers by electricity, “Energomera” has already gained a foothold on the Russian market. In addition, by the end of the crisis the company has developed the new product – meters based on the large integrated circuit. The second generation of electronic meters, invented by “Energomera” has also become a technological breakthrough of its time and again caused unprecedented interest in the market.

During 22 years the company has released six generations of static electricity meters. Today we produce smart devices and metering systems (AMR) which can not only perform consumption data recording, but also identify power sampling points, and if necessary disconnect the electricity supply as well as to transmit data directly via the two channels in real-time mode.

Another business line of “Energomera” is the manufacture of telecommunication cabinets, cathodic protection equipment, low voltage equipment and switchboards for power engineering, for oil and gas industry and agriculture. Today we actively explore the agricultural and poultry engineering. Innovation level of company’s developments provides corporate institute of electrotechnical instrument engineering. More than 100 scientists, designers and engineers continuously work on the search for new technical solutions, and promptly put the new ideas into life.
