Description

Stroke is the second leading cause of death on the planet. Only in Russia there are 450000 strokes registered every year. Only 10% of stroke patients return to labour activities, 20% of them stay disabled for a whole life. No country can provide enough clinics and rehabilitation centers for all those people - furthermore, patients are not always able to visit the specialists for a various reasons, mostly because of the difficulty of regular distant visits. Our decision allows to increase the rehabilitation efficiency from 10 to 50 percent and helps to reduce the risk of death. The project is being developed in conjunction with Moscow State Sechenov University and St. Petersburg Multidisciplinary Clinical Center. Biofeedback systems and trainings are being used for about 10 years in Russia and for 30 years in international practice. Until quite recently, all of the used appliances were wireline and connected to PC or another specialized devices. Modern wireless sensors and devices together with methodological experience of our specialists create a unique opportunity to integrate the technology in the new generation system. Biofeedback simulators are officially acknowledged and used in government health facilities, including the CHI programs.
The system consists of:
● Feedback sensors
● Training gamification software
● VR environment for the immersion
● Complex for monitoring patient’s health status and remote control
● Visualization of progress for motivating patients
All sensors are certified as medical devices, that is, all data from the sensors are recognised as reliable for clinic research, diagnosis establishing and prescription for treatment. Rehabilitation is covered by CHI in Russia and as for international market, these procedures are also included in health insurance. It is also possible to develop individual biofeedback simulators for self-training with remote control.
