SB/VSD provide power, operation of the ESP and its protection from abnormal operation modes.
SB/VSD can be manufactured in various types, which are determined by the well power supply, the power required by the controlled motor, climate conditions.
SB/VSD is designed for continuous operation and performs such functions as issuing a signal for switching on and off the device controlling the AM and its operation in manual and automatic modes. SB/VSD also protects the AM from shutting it down during overload and voltage reducing in all modes of operation, and blocking the inclusion of AM during turbine rotation.
SB/VSD are also designed to control the ESP settings in a periodic mode and provide a smooth start-up of the ESP, as well as the protection and automatic operation.
