Multiple-beam amplifying klystrons (MBK) are the basis of transmitters for modern perspective. Systems multiple-beam klystrons on fundamental and higher modes of oscillation allow to make supply voltages 2-3 times lower, the device weight – 4 times lower, to expand the operating frequency band and to essentially reduce the transmitter dimensions.

Klystrode is a power amplifier in TV-transmitters of decimeter range. Klystrode - a hybrid of a tetrode and a floating-drift klystron features high efficiency, linearity and output power.
