Communication and data transmission module MSPD is designed for voice and data information exchange via aircraft radio communication channels «board-board» and «board-ground», as a part of on-board and ground communication systems.

MSPD Module performs the functions of the following radio communication equipment:

- Special digital computer (SDC);
- Data transfer equipment (DTE);
- Multifrequency modem (MFM);
- Voice Warning System (VWS);
- Intercom System (ICS).

MSPD Module with changeable software is a base for construction different versions of airborne and ground communication systems.

MSPD MODULE PROVIDES:

• Information exchange between AEE and UCP via information channels;
• Information exchange between communication system components;
• Voice and data transmission information exchange via aircraft radio communication channels ;
• Interfacing with communication security equipment for voice and data information;
• Digitized voice transmission via HF radio channel with modem using;
• Internal telephone communications between two of the crewmen and three of the ground maintenance personnel with listening to eight special signals, two NAV and radio sets guard receivers;
• External telephone radio communication via one of the four radio sets;
• Emergency and warning messages playing back with transmitting necessary messages via radio channel.
