Description

Neurotrainer for children with cerebral palsy is a gaming platform with the use of Microsoft Kinect motion capture technology. Training takes the form of a computer game based on physiotherapy exercises – synchronous and asynchronous arm and leg swings, sit-ups, turns and jumps. Doing these exercises, a child makes an animated figure move over the screen: go ahead, turn left or right, get over obstacles.
Today the trainers are in clinical trial in several medical institutions: V.D. Serdavin Samara Regional Clinical Hospital, Regional Rehabilitation Centre “Samarskiy”, Moscow City Hospital №31, Brothers Bahrushiny Moscow City Hospital and Samara Regional Children’s Rehabilitation Centre.
ReviVR Neurotrainer has already passed clinical trials on patients in acute post-stroke phase, which begins in 48 hours after the assertained cerebrovascular disease. On the results of Berg Balance Test the movement activity rates of the patients were twice as good as before the rehabilitation course on the trainer
