A series of guns having output window dimensions 200x100 mm, electron energy 160...200 keV, pulse duration 2...5 μs, pulse repetition frequency 50...300 Hz, mean electron beam output power 150...400 W was created.
Based on these devices FSUE "MPEI RAS" has created the first in the world compact installation of electron-beam technology which is being successfully used in a large company 3M (USA).
A new generation of sealed-off guns with an output electron ribbon beam is under development in RPC "Istok". An installation is being created, in which not only motionless objects will be radiated but also continuously moving ribbon
