Description

Disilicate optical inorganic glass for the infrared region of the spectrum,
including the following components: Al2O3, CaO, MgO, BaO, Na2O, K2O, Y2O3.
The brand of glass is indicated by the letters AKC – "Aluminum-calcium glass".
The number in the glass label indicates a transparency range of 5 microns.
The purpose (scope):
The glass is designed for manufacturing optical parts of various configurations that operate in the visible
and near-infrared regions of the spectrum. Glass has high mechanical strength and radiation resistance.
Glasses simultaneously perform two main functions:
1 Structural function, i.e. they are able to withstand mechanical, thermal, climatic and aggressive
influences during operation together with the construction of the object, having the necessary
reliability, they maintain the specified tightness.
2 Optical function, providing a set of optical characteristics, such as the range and level of spectral
transmission of electromagnetic radiation, angular deviation, resolution, etc., stored in the operating
conditions.
Produced at JSC " lytkarinsky optical glass plant"
