Description

The differences of GTU-16PT retrofit from the GTU-16P gas turbine base design are determined by the component set and specific conditions of tie-in and arrangement of gas turbine set components with the purpose of serviceability of the upgraded GPU-16 gas turbine pumping set.

For the GPU-16 retrofit the hardware set and GTU-16PT gas turbine are installed on the existing foundation, into existing enclosure with the upgrading of the GPU-16 gas pumping systems.

When developing the GPU-16 retrofit project with GTU-16PT gas turbine, the minimization of upgrading of the existing systems is stipulated. The hardware set provides upgrading of the gas pumping systems for the GTU-16PT gas turbine, and also replacement or upgrading of the out-of-date or worn-out systems of the set and it is determined by the specification approved by the Customer.

Automatic control unit (ACU) is based on МSKU-SS 4510-10-38, and common for gas pumping units and other gas turbine mechanical drive systems.

Advantages

The retrofit of GPU-16 gas turbine pumping unit with substitution of the DG59L2 engine for GTU-16PT gas turbine provides GPU-16 modernization to improve its performance, that is:

to improve driven engine reliability;
to improve reliability of the modified systems;
to reduce the consumption of fuel gas;
to reduce irretrievable losses of lube oil;
to improve the ecological characteristics.
The retrofit is carried out with maximum use of existing systems of the unit.
