Description

Functionality
The UTK8 is a versatile measurement equipment that allows technicians to check and prove the teleprotection channel performance end to end (up to 8 teleprotection commands at once). Practical appliance of the tester is essential for conducting:
Factory Acceptance Tests
Commissioning of a teleprotection system
Service & Maintenance

The UTK8 is able to test legacy and present-day teleprotection equipment that utilizes binary inputs / outputs for transmission of the commands over:
digital telecommunication channel
power line carrier
microwave links
dark fibers

UTK8 features
A front panel with big 5-inch TFT color display and functional buttons allow to demonstrate, save into a file or even print the measurement results for further analysis
Thanks to intuitive user software tool the operator may carry out the measurements by means of software tool, installed onto maintenance laptop or execute the same directly from the UTK8 front panel
There are 8 binary outputs available on UTK8 in order to operate 8 binary inputs of the teleprotection equipment under test
Operating the binary inputs of the teleprotection equipment under test driven by the “dry” contacts or substation battery voltage is a great advantage
Binary outputs of UTK8 equipped with overcurrent protection
8 binary inputs with the possibility of feeding either from internal DC voltage source or station battery
There is additional relay contact available to control the operation of various devices together with the commands transmission. Example: attenuator or noise generator
Universal power supply 230 V AC / 220 V DC
Built-in device calibration function
0.1 ms accuracy for measurement of command transmission time is now achieved
Ability to create, save and load a configuration profile (up to 16 profiles)
Archiving the test results using embedded memory of UTK8 is possible
Dependability and security measurements

ADVANTAGES

Compact and handy design (220x140x40 mm, weight 0.8 kg)

UTK8 allows simultaneously testing up to 8 commands
