Optical Bypass

The EcoBypass device is installed in the gap between two routers of the operator’s network and redirects traffic flows to the EcoSGE or EcoBalancer for further processing.

Description

The universal EcoSGE service platform is installed in the gap of existing trunk channels, since it should be able to directly control traffic in the operator’s network. However, in case of emergency situations in EcoSGE, this should not affect the operator’s network. To protect the operator’s network from failures, the connection to the EcoSGE or EcoBalancer, if used, is carried out through EcoBypass devices, which redirects traffic flows to EcoSGE for processing. In case of failure or routine maintenance, EcoBypass provides transparent traffic transit.
