A phenolic film is a special type of kraft paper that has been impregnated with phenol-formaldehyde resin that includes pigments, dyes and various processing additives. Depending on the density, the resin content in the product will be 63-67%.

This impregnated paper is made with a special type of kraft paper of a high density (155 g/m2 — 213 g/m2) that is impregnated with thermoset phenol-formaldehyde resin. In the process of the paper impregnation, various kinds of resins and pressing additives are used to deliver the necessary properties required by a particular type of plastic. The resin content in the product will be 30-35%.
