The monocular is designed to work in the dark with natural light and in complete darkness with an infrared illuminator on. It is used for covert surveillance and movement on the ground, driving a car, reading maps, repairing equipment, photo and video filming, and also, complete with an infrared target designator, for aiming the weapon at the target when aiming at night.
